Job Title: Kotlin Android Developer Location: Colombia About the Role: We are seeking a talented Kotlin Android Developer with experience in native Android development, API integration, and React Native design patterns to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-quality mobile applications with a focus on Jetpack Compose UI and API design. You will collaborate with our platform team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of features, working closely with backend developers to design and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Required Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Kotlin-based Android development, with strong experience in Jetpack Compose for UI development. Strong understanding of React Native design patterns and their translation to native Android development. Experience with integration of RESTful APIs and GraphQL for mobile applications. Proficiency with databases, including relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB). Experience with automated testing frameworks like Espresso and Compose UI Testing. Knowledge of deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and collaboration with platform teams for app deployment. Familiarity with networking protocols and WebSockets. Understanding of API design principles and best practices. Experience working in agile environments. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of GraphQL, especially query optimization and API consumption in mobile apps. Exposure to iOS development or cross-platform practices (React Native, Flutter, etc.). Familiarity with mobile app security, including secure data handling and authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT). Experience in performance tuning (memory management, API call optimization). Strong problem-solving skills, with debugging and code optimization expertise.
