The Data Scientist is responsible for discovering insights and solutions through the analysis of complex data to address business challenges and generate strategic value for the AML area, specially in transactional monitoring process. This role involves utilizing advanced techniques in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining to extract meaningful information from diverse datasets and generate models to support the AML Functions as Transactional Monitoring and Sector analysis. **Responsibilities**: Data Analysis: - Collect, clean, and transform raw data into suitable formats for analysis. Utilize statistical tools and algorithms to explore and analyze large and complex datasets. - Identify GAPs in monitoring coverage and propose strategies / scenarios to cover them. - Participate actively in analysis of problems that impact monitoring processes, proposing solutions and supporting data concerns management and solutions. Predictive Modeling: - Introduce solutions that allow to identify trends and alerts related to AML Optimization: - Identify optimization opportunities and improvements in business processes using data analysis to drive operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. Data Visualization: - Create clear and meaningful visualizations to communicate findings and results to internal and external stakeholders, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms. - Based on the analysis, identify AML alerts to be analyzed by CRIU Interdisciplinary Collaboration: - Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to understand project requirements and develop effective solutions. - **Qualifications**: - 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferred financial sector - Previous experience in the specific industry and in AML risk is preferred. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, as well as experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks. - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and ability to approach complex problems creatively and systematically. Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights from them. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into understandable terms for non-technical audiences. **Education**: - Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, software engineering, or related fields.
