About the role: The sub-manager of reception supervises reception operations and acts as the shift manager in the hotel when senior managers are not available. What you will do: Manage reception staff. Coordinate arrivals, departures, and billing requirements. Block rooms for arrivals and ensure discrepancies are resolved. Review daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of special attention guests, returning guests, and groups. Ensure all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follow up on credit issues with the Reception Manager and/or Credit Manager. Take action on all matters related to the safety, satisfaction, and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior management is unavailable. Respond quickly and effectively to any emergency or security situation at the hotel. Resolve customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; Respond to all guest requests accurately and promptly. Utilize a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports, and select and block rooms for arriving guests. Requirements: Technologist or professionals in related fields such as: Tourism and Hotel Administration, Service Management, Business Administration, Foreign Languages. 2 years of experience in similar roles. Verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English. Advanced knowledge of hotel operating systems (PMS) and night audit processes (Opera, Zeus, TMS).
