**Job Summary**: The Commodity Manager is responsible for implementing and executing the global Commodity Management strategy that will lead the sourcing efforts in regards to the following: worldwide total acquisition costs, supplier negotiations, contractual relationships and logistics for assigned commodities. The Commodity Manger will communicate and explain complex demand/supply forecasts (inputs, outputs, rationale, and gaps) and recommendations to senior management. This position will report to the Sourcing Director. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**: - Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies to support forecasted needs for assigned commodities. - Establish and implement strategies for negotiating commodity purchase agreements based on in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets for optimum pricing and terms - Lead or support supply contract negotiations that include terms, pricing, volume agreements, inventory strategies, competitive benchmarks, performance, regulatory compliance, and annual cost reductions to name a few. - Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities. - Creates strategies to consolidate the purchasing of materials to key supplier partners to reduce worldwide number of suppliers and that will optimize cost and service. - Participate in the development of 1 to 3 year commodity specific strategies to include; spend analysis, market and geographic considerations, strategic importance, etc., and establish goals and implementation action plans to support segment and business level vision (e.g. technology, make/buy, supply base consolidation, strategic supplier direction, quality goals, domestic versus international sourcing, market/industry analysis, etc.) - Participate or lead in creating and driving supplier corrective action as related to site-based quality and delivery issues. - Communicate and work closely with Commercial Management Department to develop and establish Global MSAs/Terms and Conditions for essential Contracts - Perform other duties as assigned - Travel may be required - English proficiency required - Manage and develop employees **Required Qualifications & Experience**: - Bachelor’s degree - Seven to ten years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, and/or supplier development - Experience in Tooling, T&L;, Subcontract Labor, PPE & IT solutions procurement preferred **Desired Characteristics**: - Proven leadership ability - Ability to lead global efforts to plan, organize and manage significant projects. - Knowledge of global sourcing strategies for critical commodities. - Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to influence and negotiate. - Experience in ERP/MRP systems (ideally SAP), contract writing - domestic/international - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Exceptional oral and written communication skills - Skillful in establishing and maintaining working relationships with segments and suppliers **About FieldCore**: - FieldCore is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, veteran status, status as a qualified individual with a disability, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, ancestry, genetic information, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law_
