Pool Estimator Location: Remote (LATAM preferred, open) Compensation: LATAM: $2,500–$3,500/month base + performance-based bonuses South Africa: $2,800–$3,800/month base + performance-based bonuses Philippines: $2,000–$3,000/month base + performance-based bonuses Industry: Commercial Construction (Pools & Water Features) Schedule: Full-time, Remote | U.S. business hours (flexibility required) About the Role A leading U.S.-based outdoor living and construction company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pool Estimator to support its growing commercial pool division. This role involves preparing competitive and accurate cost estimates for commercial pool construction projects — from excavation to final finish — with a strong emphasis on accuracy, profitability, and efficiency. Ideal candidates will have prior experience estimating gunite pools or aquatic infrastructure, particularly for clients in the southern U.S. (Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, and neighboring markets). You’ll work closely with project managers and field teams, with the opportunity to earn performance-based commissions based on successful bids and margin retention. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed cost estimates and bids for commercial pool and water feature construction Analyze architectural drawings, civil plans, and scope documents to assess materials and labor needs Use estimating software (e.g., CAD (preferred), Bluebeam, ESI pool software (Excel) and VIP Pool studio ) for quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns. ESI pool software is very similar to excel. Working hand and hand with engineering department on pool design and cost management Solicit pricing and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers across core trades: excavation, shotcrete, tile, plumbing, and electrical Coordinate with project managers and construction leadership to ensure cost alignment and smooth project handoff Conduct virtual or occasional site assessments to evaluate conditions and constraints Maintain a library of historical pricing, subcontractor quotes, and unit costs Support cost control efforts by comparing estimated vs. actual costs after execution Qualifications 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, ideally in pools, aquatic features, or sitework Strong understanding of commercial pool construction including gunite, mechanical systems, and concrete work Proficiency in CAD, VIP Pool Studio, Bluebeam and Excel; familiarity with tools like HeavyBid is a plus Ability to read and interpret technical plans including layouts, grading, and utility tie-ins Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple deadlines and deliverables Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with U.S.-based teams and vendors Bonus Points Direct experience estimating commercial pools in U.S. markets Familiarity with Gulf Coast construction practices (TX, FL, OK, LA, GA, AR) Background in water management systems, resort infrastructure, or municipal aquatic builds
