Job Description General Responsibilities: Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel). Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractors, and others regarding site, project requirements, testing, observation, and inspection results. Transport material samples with documentation to the laboratory for testing and analysis. Prepare and submit data and observations in reports, both written and digital, for daily transmittal to the Project Manager. Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas. Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites. Adhere to strict safety standards. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Conduct testing, observation, and inspection according to training and procedures. Document findings clearly and accurately. Perform basic data analysis to verify accuracy before reporting. Communicate findings to the Project Manager and team. Possess proficiency in multiple testing and inspection areas, including laboratory work. Train lower-level technicians. Supervise activities of other technicians in the laboratory or field. Interact with clients and site personnel as directed. Assist in developing scope of testing and inspection services. Maintain equipment calibration and operation. Perform advanced fieldwork and support project management. Plan, schedule, and dispatch Technicians based on skills, certifications, and project needs. Coordinate pre-dispatch activities with management. Track project data and status in CMELMS. Communicate project status and timelines to clients. Follow safety protocols and report issues. Ensure quality standards are maintained on all projects. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 5-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent training. Proficiency with laptops, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Certifications such as ACI (e.g., Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I), radiation safety, and Nuclear Density Gauge operation. For Steel: AWS CWI or ASNT Level II. For Facilities: Relevant certifications (e.g., RRO). Completion of internal safety certifications. Valid driver’s license with acceptable record. Preferred Certifications: NICET Level III in Construction Materials Testing or Geotechnical categories. ICC certifications in structural and fireproofing categories. AWS Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI). ASNT Level III in nondestructive testing areas. Other relevant certifications as deemed appropriate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
