JOB SUMMARY: Provides therapeutic care of patients in their place of residence. The OT is responsible for conducting medically prescribed occupational therapy treatments to facilitate rehabilitation of the mentally or physically at risk individual, so they can participate in the activities of everyday life. Responsible for individualized evaluation using standardized testing procedures to create measurable outcomes. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance. Facilitates the learning of skills and functions that are essential to maintain or restore health, wellness, and functional participation. Collaborates with the treatment team to provide optimal care. They must be adaptable and able to work with all age groups.
