United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) works to eliminate the threat posed by mines, explosive remnants of war and improvised explosive devices by coordinating United Nations mine action, leading operational responses at the country level, and in support of peace operations, as well as through the development of standards, policies and norms. The UNMAS Colombia Programme aims to provide technical assistance to Colombia's humanitarian mine action sector to deliver a more robust and holistic response to affected communities and contribute to broader protection, security and peace-building objectives. UNMAS Colombia's technical assistance also includes coordinating the humanitarian mine action Area of Responsibility (AOR) of the humanitarian architecture, supporting the protection cluster and other humanitarian for assisting the socio-economic reintegration of former FARC-EP combatants through employment in humanitarian mine action, and supporting the coordination and integration of humanitarian mine action matters at the regional level. As Programme Management Associate you support UNMAS as follows: Assist in drafting programme/project reports, budgets, proposals, and extension requests for donors; Contribute to monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, including data management and activity reporting; Capture and share cross-project lessons learned and best practices; Support UNMAS Colombia's participation in inter-agency mechanisms and humanitarian mine action leadership; Aid in communications, visibility strategies, and resource mobilization, including social media content and event organization; Etc. Part of the Talent programme " Swiss Youth at the United Nations / World Bank Group ", this position is sponsored by the Peace and Human Rights Division (PHRD). An International UN Youth Volunteer contract ensures that travel, relocation and UN health insurance costs are covered. Additionally, a monthly living allowance is paid. Driving license for PHRD financed positions. For this position: Master's degree in business administration, management, international relations, public administration, development cooperation or a related field; Demonstrated interest and/or experience (ideally one year) in gender, peace, peacebuilding, protection, security, transitional justice and reconciliation; Ability to work and adapt professionally in a challenging environment; effective teamwork in a multicultural setting of national and international staff; Expertise in all phases of the project management cycle, planning and organizational skills Fluent in English and working knowledge in Spanish.
