Total Number of Openings 2 Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: - Assigned to projects, or business units in accordance with work scope volumes within the chevron business units.- Oversee prioritization of Chevron scopes in relation to multiple business units and/or capital projects with competing priorities.- Coordinate forecasting, staffing plans and resource allocation based on assigned scopes requirements.- Oversee engineering execution workflows and processes. Monitor performance and implement process improvements in alignment with the business unit or project teams to enhance overall engineering execution performance and predictability.- Monitor engineering execution quality, monitor key performance indicators and proactively address quality when leading indicators demonstrate negative trends. Work with the Chevron business units and projects to implement corrective actions until full recovery is achieved.- Ensure work takes place in line with the latest Chevron technical standards and functional guidelines as applicable.- Ensure adequate competent resources are allocated to the Chevron scopes and monitor onboarding and training for team assigned to the Chevron ring fenced teams.- Develop strategies in partnerships with the engineering firms to grow capabilities where these result in significant business value for the corporation.- Engage and influence business units and projects to maximize utilization of workshare locations based on deep understanding of capabilities and project needs.- Advise engineering teams on best practices relating to change management, uncertainty management, engineering quality assurance workflows implementation, best practices.- Advise engineering teams on implementing strategies for designs technical assurance.- Ability to lead engineering capabilities assessments.- Stay attuned to engineering lessons learned and actively implement strategies to disseminate and support business units and project teams to put mitigation strategies in place to avoid repetition. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering discipline.- Full proficiency in English is a must.- 10+ years of relevant multi-discipline engineering execution and coordination.- Proven experience on coordinating multi-discipline engineering teams executing engineering for surface facilities projects in oil & gas.- Experience in executing and coordinating engineering across multiple asset classes in the oil and gas business, including upstream, midstream, downstream, onshore and offshore for surface facilities or topsides.- Varied experience in executing engineering for greenfield and brownfield projects for surface facilities in upstream or downstream oil and gas operations.- Experience in field engineering execution, either as part of a construction or fabrication site.- Experience in coordinating engineering interfaces with vendors. Experience in following vendor packages, leading FATs/SATs procedures development, execution and acceptance.- Experience operating as a facilities engineer, reviewing technical responses, technical standards development or addenda writing, technical exception, engineering deliverables approvals. Special Considerations: - Position has no-direct reports and is expected to operate through influencing leadership in partnership with Chevron business units facilities engineers and project engineers.
