What we are looking for The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a highly qualified, resilient, and dynamic professional to take up the role of MIRE + Emergency Response Consortium Manager for Colombia. The purpose of the position is to ensure MIRE+ emergency and early recovery responses are implemented with quality, in a coordinated and timely manner, in compliance with donors and partners’ strategies and policies and in accordance with target populations’ needs in a rapidly evolving context. The Consortium Manager should strive to maintain MIRE+ positive reputation as Colombia’s largest rapid response mechanism responding to needs caused by the internal conflict , always seeking to improve technical and operational processes to achieve optimal efficiency and quality in the response. What you will do Provide overall direction and leadership of the Consortium to ensure seamless operations, leveraging complementarity among multi-disciplinary partners. Oversee day-to-day management of the project, including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and budget management, ensuring the project stays within scope and schedule. Represent the Consortium towards relevant stakeholders, including national authorities, donors, humanitarian country teams, and counterparts, promoting the best interests of the Consortium. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, donors’ strategies, requirements, and expectations. Promote harmonization and simplification, and guarantee timely and quality development of donor reports and other products. Ensure the consortium adapts to contextual changes and donor requests, integrating lessons learned to better respond to beneficiary needs. Coordinate with key stakeholders, including other Rapid Response Mechanisms, to ensure that interventions are complementary to national and local response mechanisms. What you will bring Minimum five years of experience in the sector , with increasing responsibilities in humanitarian crisis contexts. At least three years in a leadership role managing and coordinating similar-sized, international donor-supported programs. Proven ability to communicate a common vision among diverse partners and lead multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in complex and volatile settings. Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish . Knowledge and experience working in Latin America is strongly preferred. Specific knowledge of the Colombian context is desirable. Demonstrated experience in emergency response management and international best practices. Well-versed in the humanitarian architecture in the region. Knowledge of the dynamics of ethnic communities and regulatory frameworks. University Degree in International Development, Social or Human Sciences, Project Management, Emergency Response, or related fields .
