You'll be most welcome here! **Role Objective**: - The Government Affairs Engagement Specialist / Coordinator, Colombia, will serve as support for developing and implementing strategic engagements with local, state, and federal officials, business, and regulatory agencies, as well as develop and communicate a knowledgebase regarding applicable government regulations, policies and actions and their impacts on business, and partner with cross-functional teams to pursue and procure targets government incentive opportunities. Will also help develop new projects and promote a favorable business environment that enables operation and growth. - As a member of the Public Policy team, you’ll be part of a regional Government Affairs team working closely with different areas and cross-collaboration with local teams of each country. - In this role, you’ll support the Head of Public Policy South America Spanish Speaking Countries combining creativity and analytical perspective to develop innovative products and projects that generate value for Rappi´s stakeholders and the company. **Main Responsibilities**: - Monitor and report regulatory risks on a local, regional and international level. - Preparing memos to assess specific bills of law impacting delivery and overall gig-economy industry. - Drafting policy research summaries on relevant policy research, policy memos and reports. - Performing quantitative data analysis using Rappi’s internal operation data and publicly available data to generate up-to-date statistics relevant to regulation and policy making. - Map and measure relationships with key stakeholders. **Key Requirements**: - Open to learn y dinamic. - Interest in the intersection between government affairs/public policy and topics as app-based and technology. - Ability to work independently, self-driving, and willingness to be flexible on task assignments. - 3 years of professional experience (public or private sector). - Knowledge of economic and political context in Colombia. - Knowledge of the regulatory framework of digital platforms in the region is a plus. - Strong track record of successful project management, including delivery of research, well-crafted policy positions and multi-market campaigns. - Good skills and previous experience in data analysis, data visualization, econometrics, literature research, writing of reports and studies. - Previous experience working with public data sets. - Fluent in English and Spanish. **Desired Requirements**: - Masters Degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy or related topics, with a particular focus on quantitative methods.
