Job Description We seek an experienced Instrumentation Engineer specializing in instrumentation for gas plants, NGL fractionation, refineries, petrochemicals, pipelines, and distribution facilities. The role is within the Process Automation and Systems Division of the Process & Control Systems Department. The department provides process engineering, automation, new energy, and digitalization services across Aramco. As an Instrumentation Engineer, your main responsibilities include designing, developing, installing, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, facility planning, and project teams, and participate in safety, innovation, operational excellence, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Support all instrumentation types such as level, temperature, pressure, control valves, emergency isolation valves, motor-operated valves, relief valves, flow measurement, and level gauges. Conduct engineering studies to optimize solutions, enhance safety, and improve process performance. Lead or collaborate with teams investigating incidents or technical issues, and undertake special assignments with discretion. Develop and maintain standards, specifications, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry codes and standards. Evaluate vendors and contractors for technical capability, acting as a company representative in dealings with external organizations. Perform technical evaluations of quotations and participate in bid evaluations. Research and implement best practices and new technologies to achieve industry-leading performance. Conduct cost analyses and value engineering to recommend cost-effective solutions. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical). A Master’s or PhD is preferred but not mandatory. At least 20 years of professional experience in a technical engineering role, preferably with a major Oil & Gas company or instrumentation suppliers. Experience in plant instrumentation sizing and selection (control valves, relief valves, actuators, basic process measurements). Certifications such as ISA-CAP, CFSP, TUV FSEng, PE, or Chartered Engineer license are desirable. Knowledge of H2S, LEL, pH, conductivity, and gas detection analyzers is preferred. Proficiency with international industry standards (API, ISO, ASME, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.). Leadership experience in HAZOP, SIL, P&ID, and review processes. Understanding of control systems, field instrumentation, and communication protocols like DNP3, Modbus, FieldBus, TCP, IEC, SPA, RP570, ANSI. Active membership in professional societies such as ISA or IEEE for at least 3 years. #J-18808-Ljbffr
