Responsibilities Strategic Direction & Data Leadership1. Develop a high-level data and analytics roadmap aligned withagency goals, with phased implementation to scale with maturity. 2. Partner with a small group of cross-functional leaders (e.g.,Marketing, IT, Client Strategy, Web Development) to identifyhigh-impact use cases and prioritize analytics initiatives, andvalidate opportunities through A/B testing and other experiments.3. Translate early insights into clear, digestible narratives todemonstrate the value of data for key stakeholders. 4. Begin tofoster data literacy through informal enablement (e.g., onboardingtraining, lunch & learns, data demos, templates). Data Analysis& Reporting (Hands-On Focus) 1. Implement and configuretracking using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager,BigQuery or Adobe Analytics. 2. Build and maintain core dashboardsand reports (e.g., client performance, campaign analytics, internalKPIs) using tools like Looker, Data Studio, PowerBI or Tableau. 3. Define basic data visualization standards and build a scalablereporting framework that others can adopt over time. 4. Work withteams to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and clarity in allreporting outputs. Data Governance & Management (FoundationalSetup) 1. Create and document initial data governance policies(naming conventions, taxonomy, access controls). 2. Collaboratewith IT/security to ensure GDPR/CCPA alignment, particularly forclient-facing data use. 3. Act as the steward of core datasets,ensuring their integrity and usability across teams. Cross-Functional & Client Support 1. Act as the analyticsconsultant on key client accounts and internal initiatives,providing insights that inform strategy and execution. 2. Supportsales and client teams with analytics inputs for RFPs and projectscoping. 3. Create reusable templates and data frameworks tosupport repeatability across similar projects. AI/ML & AdvancedAnalytics (Exploratory Stage) 1. Monitor emerging AI/ML trends andassess low-lift opportunities for experimentation (e.g., predictivecampaign performance, simple classification models). 2. Setrealistic expectations and advocate for responsible AI use ascapabilities evolve. 3. Begin building the case for futureinvestment in scalable ML tools and talent. Operational Setup &Scaling; Strategy 1. Automate and scale operational tasks usingAPIs. 2. Create and manage a prioritized backlog of analytics needsacross the org. 3. Identify gaps in tooling, data infrastructure,and talent; propose scaling plans as adoption grows. 4. Workclosely with leadership to define a hiring roadmap orcross-functional resourcing model. Vendor & Platform Evaluation(As Needed) 1. Recommend analytics tools or enhancements that alignwith organizational needs and scale. 2. Collaborate withprocurement or IT to manage tool licensing, contracts, and vendorrelationships. Requirements 1. 8+ years of experience in digitalanalytics, data strategy, or performance marketing, with at least 3years in a leadership or director-level role 2. Proven experienceworking within or alongside marketing technology platforms (CRM,CDPs, DMPs) 3. Ideal experience with hospitality industry dynamics,including e-Commerce, guest acquisition, retention, and loyaltyprograms or experience at Marketing Agencies. 4. Strong command ofweb, mobile, and cross-channel analytics tools, such as GA4, AdobeAnalytics, or Mixpanel 5. Experience with Google Tag Manager,server-side tracking and data Layer implementations 6. Proficiencyin SQL and data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker 7. Strategic thinker with ability to connect data insightsto marketing performance and business outcomes 8. Excellentunderstanding of attribution models, A/B testing, and performanceoptimization 9. Capable of managing complex data ecosystems acrossCRM, paid media, web, and booking engines 10. Strong leadership andproject management skills - able to guide both technical andnon-technical teams 11. Ability to communicate complex analyticsinsights in a clear and compelling way to stakeholders at alllevels 12.
