Involves the completion of administrative tasks and coordination related to front-line operations, including data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, dispatch activities, and local customer service. While operational tasks may be part of these roles, the majority of the time is spent on office-based activities. General Job Description: Under general supervision, performs the following activities: Execution of administrative activities related to customs and international packages, including contact with internal and external customers. Reviews daily information regarding delivery system exceptions and changes, station operations, service capabilities, volume, and other related topics to ensure accurate, consistent, and current information is provided to customers at all times. Provides current package status updates and basic tracking activities by monitoring shipment movement and interpreting global tracking updates from 1Source (FedEx CRM). Initiates collections, supply deliveries, shipment research, rate quotes, and exception requests online using 1Source. Assists customers with the preparation of shipping documentation, including international regulatory information, shipping request preparation, and special notifications related to worldwide pickup and delivery. Proactively provides customer service using FedEx phraseology to ensure 100% customer satisfaction with every transaction. Determines the existence of service failures and requests refunds within established limits. Responds to call center customer inquiries regarding all service features, delivery and pickup procedures, release, and payment processes, demonstrating sensitivity and responsiveness to customer needs. Recognizes new customers or additional business opportunities, opens new accounts, obtains additional shipments, and sends sales leads. May perform other activities as assigned. Minimum Requirements Minimum Education: High School Diploma. Proficiency in English. Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of experience in international customs freight/cargo policies, procedures, rules, and laws. Minimum Skills Required: Written and verbal communication skills. General office skills and computer knowledge. Intermediate level proficiency in English for Customs area (preferred). Advanced Excel skills. Ability to lift up to 25 kg (men) & 12.5 kg (women) and maneuver packages with more weight using appropriate equipment. Ability to work variable shifts.
