Employees at our client’s company are part of a team that not only delivers quality products but also contributes to meaningful causes, creating a fulfilling and impactful work environment dedicated to helping those in need. **Scope of the role**: **Responsibilities**: - Architect, develop, and maintain Shopify-based e-commerce websites, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. - Strong understanding of Shopify Theme 2.0 architecture including JSON, Customizer, and use of metaobjects. - Develop new functionality, experiences, and pages on Shopify sites. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and other developers to define project requirements and deliverables. - Customize and extend Shopify themes and plugins to meet stakeholder requirements. - Integrate third-party services and APIs (payment gateways, shipping providers, etc.) with Shopify. - Optimize website performance and user experience through front-end and back-end optimizations. - Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance as needed to other developers. - Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, trends, and best practices. - Fix bugs and breakages, urgently attend to add-to-cart and checkout blockers. - Provide documentation on functionality developed, so other developers can pick up if not available. - Share knowledge and teach other developers new skills. **Requirements**: - **C1 English proficiency Level both written and spoken (Must Have)**: - **6+ years of experience developing Shopify-based e-commerce websites.(Must Have)**: - Strong understanding of Shopify's APIs and developer tools (Shopify CLI). **(Must Have)**: - Experience with Shopify Functions and Shopify Scripts. - Fluency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Liquid.**(Must Have)**: - Experience in integrating third-party services and APIs (payment gateways, shipping providers, etc.) with Shopify.**(Must Have)** - Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries (React, Vue.js) and experience writing JavaScript unit and integration tests. **(Nice to Have)**: - Ability to write and run Python scripts. **(Nice to Have)** - Ability to optimize website performance and user experience through both front-end and back-end optimizations. - Strong understanding of SEO and ADA best practices. **(Must Have)** - Knowledge of version control systems such as Git. **(Must Have)**: - Experience with NPM, build tools like webpack, and SCSS/SASS. **(Nice to Have)**: - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and other developers. - Ability to ask for clarity from stakeholders and communicate project progress and blockers effectively. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Eagerness to share knowledge and teach other developers new skills. - Commitment to fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment within the team.
