Purpose Scotiabank’s Global Technology Services (GTS) Technology Operations is responsible for the operations engineering required to provide highly available and resilient systems. In GTS Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), we are responsible for providing critical data platform services, following SRE and data governance best practices, as well as consulting and coordinating with the Bank’s technology teams to meet business expectations. Accountabilities • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. • You will be working as a Production Release and Access Management Support analyst providing application and platform support. • You will be focused on the stability, security, and resilience of a set of data warehouse applications, managing incident response and recommending and implementing solutions that drive automation, problem resolution, enhance stability, and reduce recovery times. • You have a keen interest in uncovering root causes through blameless post-mortems and acting on findings. • You will interact with the Product owner, business, and technology partners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog, coordinating delivery through release planning, solution design, development, and delivery. • You will be responsible for deployment of PROD releases and be involved in the gating activities for functional and non-functional test planning, design, and execution. • After-hours support may be required for the monthly releases. • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. Education / Experience / Other Information • You have strong communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors. • You have a track record as a strong team player with a proven ability to work efficiently as part of performance-oriented engineering team, set standards, and provide development opportunities. • You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience as a Application support analyst in and/or delivering for organization(s) that have large, complex data warehouse(s). • You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience in managing test environments. • You possess superior problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment. • You have completed a post-secondary education in computer science, engineering or in a related. #Li-Hybrid #COLGBS
