**Careers that Change Lives** **A Day in the Life** Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. - Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares internal and external financial reports. - Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income. - Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. - Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepares and consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. - Designs, modifies, installs, and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. - Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls. - May be responsible for month end close. - May be responsible for technical support and accounting of M&A; activities. - May oversee technical accounting research for complex business transactions and implementation of new accounting standards. - Participate actively in the knowledge transfer process, transition and go live of work done at the local level in Americas (NA, Canada and LATAM) and transitioning to the R2R SSC in Bogotá - Communicate actively with our clients and other members of the team promoting standardization of process and continuous improvement for the activities conduct by R2R. **Must Have: Minimum Requirements** - Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. - 3 o more years of experience in data management, Finance reporting, Power BI and related. - Fluent in communication in English and Spanish (writing & speaking) - Advance Power BI and Excel knowledge. - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, including macros and advanced functions - Previous experience in financial close process - Knowledge in SAP. - People skills. **Nice to Have** - Experience auditing financial processes and records - Demonstrated ability to manage to tight deadlines, along with flexibility to changing priorities - Willingness and ability to perform financial analysis - Strong quantitative analytical skills - Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish group objectives - Ability to respond to questions from Medtronic internal customers on capital expense requirement. - Preferably in a large, multi-national organization **About Medtronic** Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
