Our busy family law firm is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals in assisting clients and ensuring smooth operations. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, managing office correspondence (answering calls and emails), scheduling meetings and travel, and tracking deadlines. Ideal candidates will have law firm experience, work well under pressure, and seek a rewarding career in the legal industry. Responsibilities Organize and update all client files. Manage office correspondence, respond to emails and phone calls, communicate with opposing attorneys, take dictation, and notify the team of upcoming deadlines. Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the firm's operations. Schedule meetings, depositions, and appointments; arrange travel; coordinate with vendors for events. Conduct legal research under attorney supervision. Assist in creating litigation documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs; proofread documents. Maintain organized filing systems and handle general administrative duties. Qualifications Excellent customer service skills. 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute. Some college preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication skills.
