As fintech continues to be a fast-growingcustomer segment for MA, the Covec Cluster Team (Colombia,Venezuela; Ecuador, Surinam & Guyana) drives Mastercard’sposition as partner of choice for fintech companies and focusesopportunities for growth with the segment and focus on how Mastercard enables the fintech segment overall. The cluster Covecteam also supports other teams to engage with Fintech companies ascustomers and collaborators. As the world of fintechs keepsevolving, this position sitting in Colombia may evolve as well, andmay include new accountabilities and priorities in the future, inorder to keep deploying the evolving global fintech strategy andvalue propositions. We are now seeking a Fintech & EnablersDirector with a particular focus on the Covec (Colombia, Venezuela;Ecuador, Surinam & Guyana) region, to work at the intersectionbetween our startups and partners, our business lines and Mastercard key clients, driving collaboration, innovation, andvalue. Responsibilities - Act as the connection between local andregional teams to execute Mastercard’s strategy with the Fintechcommunity. Work collaboratively with the local and LAC Teams. Thisrequires alignment on strategies and objectives for the different Fintech programs, sharing best practices from other regions,demonstrating thought leadership, and building an aligned executionplan. - Work as part of a global team to source, evaluate andcollaborate with innovative Fintechs and Enablers active in the Covec region. This requires identifying the specific needs of these Fintech communities, as well as creating and delivering theappropriate value propositions to market for the different Fintechsegments. - Work closely with digital partnership leads, regionalfintech leads and parts of Mastercard’s product business toidentify opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration andpartnership with fintech partners. - Responsible for executing onan innovative strategy to drive Engage Fintech Express and other Fintech initiatives in Covec, leveraging a combination ofpartnerships and relationship management skills. - Develop thoughtleadership, identifying and deploying the appropriate valueproposition and driving marketing and comms initiatives aligningglobal framework to regional priorities and strategy. - Driveinitiatives aimed at identifying and qualifying relevant Fintechand Enablers, assessing their strategic fit with Mastercard and ourcustomers. - Drive and develop business and competitiveintelligence reports. Identify the right metrics and KPIs andperform comparison with other Fintech stakeholders in theecosystem. Track and report business performance of the engagementwith Fintech and Enablers, which also includes Engage PartnersPipeline Management. - Build rapport and trust with Mastercardcustomers to maximize engagements between startups & Enablersand customers. All About You - Possesses a passion for the startupand Fintech community with demonstrated experience of working withthe segment. - Ability to quickly learn about new technologies,demonstrating startup subject matter expertise and industry thoughtleadership. - Results driven, solutions and customer focused, withstrong business acumen and sense of urgency. - Demonstratedmulti-disciplinary knowledge, i.e. innovative product development,business development, marketing, client relationship management,emerging technologies. - Proactively able to identify opportunitiesbefore others and develop strategies to take advantage of theseopportunities. - Demonstrated experience quickly understanding,utilizing and evangelizing new technology. - Demonstrated abilityto take accountability and drive to desired results with passion,ambition and aptitude. - Demonstrated strong self-awareness, opento different approaches and ideas and open to challenging statusquo to drive new business initiatives. Self-motivated, thrives inthe ambiguity that comes with a lean and agile team at theforefront of an evolving space. - Expertise gained in RetailBanking and/or Payment Industry is highly desirable. - MBA or otheradvanced degree in strategy, marketing, communications, innovation,entrepreneurship or other related field a plus. - 100% English oraland written communication skills.
