Business Need/Purpose of Role: The role will also include providing assistance to technicians to perform maintenance and service-related duties within the Service Centre or on client sites. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: - Grade 12 / N3 Certificate Minimum Experience: - 2-3 years’ rubber lining on site experience in mining environment- 1-2 years’ rubber lining experience in a workshop or rubber related environment- Linatex rubber products experience is an advantage Key Tasks: Including but not limited to: - Assist Service Technician/s with maintenance and repair work on site or in branch- Assist with installation of pumps and other Weir products- Assist with installation and assembling of pumps and other Weir products on site or in branch- General assistance as and when required- Cleaning and prepping of parts- Dismantling of pumps and bearing assemblies- Ability to identify solutions to improve equipment or processes on and off sites- Preparing Weir equipment for assembly- Assembling and spray painting- Load and unload trucks when required- Delivery of Weir spares when required- Help with implementing mine HS&E-; Meet production targets- Active participation in improvement activities- Ensure that metal work is rubber lined to blueprint and specification- Inspection of parts for potential defects- Cut and assemble rubber as per the drawing- Safe usage of hazardous chemicals and dangerous equipment- Spray painting and sandblasting as required- Work standby and overtime as and when required from time to time- Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times- Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times Minimum Skills/Abilities: - Must be physically fit- Clear communication at all levels- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings- Manual dexterity- Ability to work in a team and respond to management direction- Ability to solve problems in a timely manner- Attention to detail- Customer focused- Safety and quality conscious minerals onsite LI-LG1
