The Role: As a Software Engineer in Test, you’ll focus on providing support for test development and execution against Anthology’s new feature and legacy system releases. You will be an active member of an agile team participating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demos. You will create and maintain automation frameworks and testing tools. Your responsibilities include developing test strategies for features, incorporating unit tests, integration/API tests, and UI tests, and designing complex testing environments. You will perform verification activities including functional, regression, load, and system testing, along with documentation. Your work will be centered on building functionality for Anthology’s Blackboard Learn applications within a Scrum team. The Candidate: 2-5 years of experience in QA manual testing and automation Experience developing test automation scripts for web applications and REST APIs Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, WebdriverIO, Protractor, and TypeScript Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Technical understanding of database configuration and ability to write complex SQL queries Light experience with scripting languages like shell or bash Light experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, XML, JSON Light experience with PractiTest, Azure Test Plans Familiarity with build environments like Jenkins, Docker, and Mesos Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above This job description is not exhaustive and may be amended as needed.
