We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with a primary focus on AWS Cloud, CI/CD, Python, and Bash to join our progressive team. As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play an essential role in developing, scaling, and managing an enterprise-grade self-service platform that supports the full SDLC. Using your expertise in advanced AWS technologies and automation strategies, you will enable development teams to innovate, deploy, and operate effectively while maintaining security and operational excellence. Responsibilities Design and maintain a robust, scalable self-service SDLC platform leveraging AWS, Python, and Bash scripting Integrate multiple AWS serverless and PaaS services to enhance development, testing, and deployment workflows Use CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, and SAM for infrastructure and resource automation Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo CI or Jenkins to support streamlined releases Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and fulfill evolving platform needs Establish and promote best practices for AWS, CI/CD processes, and Python and Bash development Monitor security, performance, and availability of the platform while ensuring compliance Investigate emerging technologies and approaches to expand platform functionality Provide support and technical guidance to development teams, fostering collaboration Requirements 3+ years of professional experience in cloud platform engineering with expertise in AWS Cloud, CI/CD, Python, and Bash scripting Proven qualifications in deploying and managing AWS services integrated with CI/CD pipelines Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and Big-O time complexity Background in handling algorithms of medium complexity (e.g., LeetCode) and passing live coding assessments Expertise in CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, and Serverless Application Model (SAM) Proficiency in configuring and maintaining CI/CD systems such as Bamboo CI or Jenkins Showcase of advanced Python and Bash scripting capabilities in real-world scenarios Familiarity with containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaborative problem-solving abilities Flexibility to accommodate time overlap with global teams between 9-11 AM CST Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, at least at a B2 level Nice to have AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or DevOps Engineer Professional certification Demonstrated background in building self-service platforms at enterprise scale Understanding of additional cloud platforms, such as Azure We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Healthcare benefits Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Business Development, Information Technology, and Engineering Industries Software Development, IT Services and IT Consulting, and Media and Telecommunications Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at EPAM Systems by 2x Get notified about new Platform Engineer jobs in Colombia .
