I’m helping Sizelabs find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Integration Systems Engineer. This is a cool job because you'll get to integrate hardware and cloud technologies, optimizing logistics with cutting-edge tech at Sizelabs. Compensation: USD 2K - 3K/month. Location: Hybrid (Sizelabs, Carrera 80, Laureles - Estadio, Medellin, Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia). What makes you a strong candidate: - You are proficient in serial communication, Node.js, Docker, and data normalization. - Spanish - Native or fully fluent. - English - Conversational. Responsibilities and more: Hardware Integration (Edge): - Own and evolve Node.js-based on-premise proxies that interface with barcode readers, scales, cameras, and local file systems. - Handle serial communication, Modbus/TCP, FTP, and edge-specific resilience features (retries, local caching, offline fallback). - Optimize services for constrained CPU/memory environments and deploy using Docker. Cloud Integration (APIs & Services): - Build and maintain connectors for third-party platforms like WMS systems. - Normalize data across formats and services, ensuring smooth interaction with Sizelabs’ backend APIs. - Implement retry logic, observability, and diagnostics for cloud-to-cloud integration points. System Design & Collaboration: - Define integration standards and document interfaces for hardware and cloud services. - Work closely with the Tech Lead and Backend team to align contracts and data flows. - Collaborate with QA and Product to validate and support deployments in production environments.
