Hiring Department College of Education and Human Development - Adventure Club Job Description Site Responsibilities Assist the Site Facilitator in daily operations, paperwork, activity planning, and special events. Perform Site Facilitator duties during absences. Substitute at other sites as needed, potentially twice weekly or during extended absences. Build relationships with children and families, ensure policy adherence, and follow up on violations. Facilitate difficult conversations with children, staff, and families regarding behavioral concerns, dismissals, conflicts, and policies. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Plan and execute activities supporting the program schedule and curriculum; recommend materials. Support program policies, licensing, and accreditation standards. Work scheduled early release days and full-day programs. Attend bi-weekly staff meetings. Program Coordinator Assistant Responsibilities Complete delegated projects, including data entry, filing, and paperwork for licensing and grants. Coordinate with field trip venues and guest speakers. Assist with staff training organization and facilitation, possibly teaching during the year. Update program materials, assist with marketing and social media. Help plan summer and full-day programs. Assist with purchasing and supplies restocking. Maintain curriculum development and organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Office Responsibilities Participate in an assigned committee. Attend weekly staff meetings. Assist office staff with phones, paperwork, filing, and data entry upon request. Support special events each semester. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift 40 hours, Monday - Friday, with flexible scheduling. Provide 22+ hours of supervision from 6:40-8:05 AM and 3:00-5:45 PM. 5-7 hours of office work and projects. 10-12 hours of delegated projects, meetings, and events. Occasional evenings and weekends for training and events. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree or equivalent education and experience, with some relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Six months of experience supervising children. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams. Good judgment, tact, flexibility, and decision-making skills. At least 12 hours of child-related coursework. Anticipated Hiring Range Salary: $19.00-$22.00/hourly Grade: GGS-005 Title: Child Development Associate Internal applicants can check their title via myHR. New hires may qualify for a one-time incentive, repayable if employment ends early. Other Information TB Risk Assessment & Physical Form required before employment. Family Care Safety Registry and FBI background checks required. Ability to communicate electronically after hours. CPR and First Aid certification required; instructors must teach periodically. 12 hours of professional development annually.
