With rapid expansion plans in Latin America, we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Corporate Finance professional to join our team in Colombia. This is a rare opportunity to join an established, well-funded and proven renewable energy team in a high profile, high impact role. ROLE OVERVIEW Directly reporting to the CFO, with dotted line to the CEO, you will lead the creation of investment briefings, financial models, project finance, reporting to investors, M&A; and other related activities and support all M&A;, equity and debt funding and other corporate finance activities across Latin America. You will also be expected to continuously monitor investment performances while supporting the structures of project finance or similar debt instruments. You will be overseeing the full project development process to ensure the efficient transition of assessment through to financial close to handover of operation. JOB DESCRIPTION - Oversee and develop financial models for projects to provide both quantitative and qualitative support to risk analyses, mitigation solutions and investment decisions, - Lead financing activities of our projects across Latin America (junior & senior loans) - Support ongoing equity financing activities - Project management/investment principal on M&A; activities - Assess success prospects of projects and exercise judgement - Collect and analyse market data, including research in respect of political and economic factors affecting countries that are relevant to the funds - Prepare investment briefings - Oversee project due diligence, collection and analysis of project data - Prepare monthly progress and report with continual assessment of project viability and implementation of mitigation measures - Assist with investor, debt and regulatory reporting requirements - Liaise with the technical and commercial teams to facilitate the integration of newly acquired assets and new valuation models - Identify threats and risks to allocated projects and implement solutions to resolve or mitigate them - Act as principal interface with all current and new investors on portfolio, project and company level - Prepare monthly investors reports. - Carry out additional ad hoc duties as required - Able to travel when required THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT - Minimum of 5 years in a corporate finance, M&A; or investment principal role - Degree level – Economics, Engineering, Finance, Maths, Business, or similar field - IT literate – In depth knowledge of MS Package - Direct experience performing and/or reviewing valuations (preferred but not essential) - Strong financial modelling experience enabling to create, understand, review, evaluate and manage financial models and to draw appropriate conclusions from their output - Strong communication and interpersonal skills; including the ability to present technical financial information in a clear and concise manner, report-writing; clear and concise internal and external communication - Established network within Latin America financial industry - Fluent in spoken and written business English and Spanish - Experience on infrastructure finance and preferably with exposure to renewable energies - Able to establish credibility with senior professionals and business partners - Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, and ability to meet regular deadlines - Strong attention to detail - Understanding of the renewables investment industry and ability to support strategic planning through the application of sound commercial judgment and business acumen - Able to demonstrate initiative and judgment in carrying out day-to-day role - Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or Public-sector Procurement knowledge (advantageous) PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES - Can-do attitude, strategic thinker, with a passion for new products and solutions - Hands-on mindset, willingness to perform all tasks in a young organisation - Ability to flourish with minimal guidance and handle uncertainty and ambiguity - A strong commitment to the ethics and values of the business with regards to investing in a renewable future and reversing the impact of climate change - Commercially astute, thoughtful and considerate - An independently motivated and creative individual and a good problem solver - Used to managing multiple projects at different stages of development at any one time - Able to deliver under pressure while supporting peers - A natural collaborator who brings out the best in people and respects people at all levels APPLICATION PROCESS To apply please email: [email protected] and include the following: - An attachment of your updated CV - In the email body, please include an answer to the following questions: - Where are you currently located? - What is your current visa status? - How many years of experience do you have in the Renewables Industry? #J-18808-Ljbffr
