Job Description - Manager I, Gestión de Activos de Software (BOG011E): Building on our past. Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects. Purpose Responsible for leading the enterprise-wide strategy and execution of software asset governance. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, optimizes software usage and costs, and mitigates legal and financial risks. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in software licensing, vendor negotiations, audit defense, contract management and SAM toolsets... Responsibilities •Develop and implement a comprehensive SAM strategy aligned with IT and business objectives. •Lead a team of SAM analysts and specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. •Drive continuous improvement in SAM processes and tools. •Collaborate with procurement, legal, finance, and IT operations to align software asset practices with organizational goals. •Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the SAM team. •Ability to manage 3rd Party Providers and contracts with complex SLA’s •Software Compliance & Risk Management: •Ensure compliance with software licensing terms and conditions across all vendors. •Lead and manage internal and external software audits •Assist in Preparation of audit responses, coordinate data collection, and act as the primary liaison with auditors. •Identify and mitigate risks related to software usage, over-deployment, and shadow IT. •Analyse software usage data to identify underutilized licenses and opportunities for cost savings. •Drive software contract negotiations and renewals with a focus on value and compliance. •Implement license re-harvesting, pooling, and optimization strategies. •Interpret software agreements, including project-specific, enterprise, or vendor-hosted licenses. •Assist with annual true-ups, renewals, and contract negotiations in coordination with procurement and legal teams. •Establish and enforce SAM policies, standards, and procedures. •Develop and maintain a software catalog and request process •Educate stakeholders on software compliance and best practices. •Continuously review and enhance SAM policies, standards, and procedures to ensure they remain effective and relevant. What you will bring Requirements: Job Specific Knowledge: ·Deep knowledge of software licensing models (., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, SaaS, Concurrent, Token Based). ·Proficiency with SAM tools and platforms (., Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow SAM Pro). ·Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. ·Familiarity with ITIL, ISO/IEC 19770, and software compliance frameworks. ·Experience with software metering and usage analytics tools. ·Hands-on experience with managing software from vendors such as Autodesk, Bentley, AVEVA, Intergraph/Hexagon, Microsoft, and Adobe. Industry Specific Experience: ·3+ years in a leadership or managerial role. ·8+ years of experience in IT Asset Management with a strong focus on Software Asset Management including purchasing, leasing, licensing, lifecycle management, cost control and reporting ·7+ years’ experience with the execution of asset management projects, and 5 years’ experience in managing relevant projects ·Participation in / exposure to tenders for IT Hardware and Software products and services, and experience with performance management of suppliers of software services and agreements ·Broad exposure to software contract documents ·An understanding of use cases for the use of Generative AI and Automation specifically related to the Software Asset management space Preferred Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: ·Tertiary qualification in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or industry equivalent experience. ·Familiarity with ITIL, ISO/IEC 19770, and software compliance frameworks. ·Certifications such as CSAM, CHAMP, CITAM, or ITIL are highly desirable. ·Advanced analytical skills in various tools - Excel, PowerBI, SAM Inventory systems If you need any accessibility adjustments , please make sure to mention it in your application Moving forward together We want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
