Database Administrator General Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of our database systems, with a focus on Azure SQL and MongoDB. The DBA will ensure the availability, reliability, and security of the databases, and work closely with development teams to provide support and optimize database operations. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Azure SQL and MongoDB database systems. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data. Perform regular database backups and recovery operations. Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly. Develop and implement database automation scripts and tools. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database management. Must-Have Skills: Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on Azure SQL and MongoDB. In-depth knowledge of database management systems, architecture, and design principles. Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Strong understanding of database security best practices. Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with other database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle. Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, particularly Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
