This position supports the aviation industry developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, including payroll, talent acquisition, learning and development, leadership, performance management, and employee engagement. You will work closely with senior management to provide strategic HR guidance, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and fostering a positive work culture. Additionally, you will oversee HR operations, manage the HR team, and are involved in decision-making processes regarding workforce planning and organizational development. **WHAT IT’s LIKE TO WORK AS VP OF HUMAN RESOURCES** - Provide strategic leadership to the HR department, setting the overall HR vision and strategy in alignment with the company's goals - Closely partner with various stakeholders located at PrimeFlight headquarters in Texas and across the United States - Oversee all aspects of HR functions, including recruitment, talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR compliance - Collaborate with local senior management and business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support the company's growth and objectives - Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management - Drive talent acquisition efforts, ensuring the recruitment of top talent to meet the organization's staffing needs - Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that foster a positive workplace culture and compliance with Colombia Labor Laws - Establish and monitor key HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR strategies and make data-driven decisions - Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives to create a motivated and high-performing workforce - Oversee compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentives, and benefits packages - Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and fostering a positive work environment - Collaborate with leadership on organizational development, workforce planning, and succession planning - Ensure compliance with HR-related laws and regulations, staying informed about changes and updates - Lead diversity and inclusion efforts to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture - Drive HR technology initiatives, including the implementation of HRIS systems for streamlined processes - May be assigned other duties as required **QUALIFICATIONS** - 18 years of age or older - Eligible to work in Columbia - 10 years of HR management experience, preferably in a similar industry or large organization - Specialization in HR - Working knowledge of Ultipro / UKG software, a plus - In-depth knowledge of Colombia Labor Law, broad HR practices and compliance - Proven leadership and strategic planning skills - Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities - Experience with HRIS and talent management systems - Ability to handle complex and sensitive employee relations issues - Intermediate/Highly proficient Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - Fluent in English/Spanish required - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents - Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of adaptive technologies or methods as necessary - Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means - Pass a background check and drug screen - Travel requirements, some International, are approximately 40%, with adjustments based on organizational needs - Experience in management and negotiation with union organizations.
