**Duties and responsibilities**: - Analysis, design, inspection of waterfront structures, asset management, submarine systems, and other maritime projects. - Develops plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed - Helps resolve design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others, or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project - Calculates quantity estimates - Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects **Other duties**: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. **Qualifications**: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required - Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred - 4-8 years of marine structural design experience related to ports, marinas, vessel mooring, and berthing structures, breakwater, and shore protection structures. - Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) MathCAD, and Microstation (or AutoCAD) required - Experience using (List software experience wanted) - SAP2000 - Etabs - Autocad - Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to complete complex technical assignments and prepare and analyze technical reports - Ability to successfully communicate and interact with internal and external clients and team members - Fluency in English required - Mastery of the Spanish language is a plus - All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post-offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 **Other duties**: - Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position.
