Job Description Job Number: General Manager (HiltonGarden Inn Santa Marta) (HOT0BGHJ) Work Locations Hilton Garden InnSanta Marta, Santa Marta, TBD A General Manager is responsible formanaging the Hotel Executive team and overall hotel targets todeliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while managingprofitability and guest satisfaction measures. What will I bedoing? As a General Manager, you are responsible for managing theHotel Executive team and overall hotel targets to deliver anexcellent Guest and Member experience. You will also manageprofitability and guest satisfaction measures. Specifically, youwill: - Manage ongoing profitability of your hotel, ensuringrevenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded. - Leadin all key property issues including capital projects, customerservice, and refurbishment. - Ensure all decisions are made in thebest interest of the hotels and Hilton. - Deliver achievable hotelbudgets and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for theproperty. - Provide effective leadership to hotel team members. -Lead in all aspects of business planning. - Comply with and exceedHilton Brand Service Standards. - Ensure costs are controlled andrevenue opportunities are effectively sourced and delivered. -Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure careerprogression and effective succession planning within Hilton. - Holdregular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team. -Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved. Whatare we looking for? A General Manager serving Hilton brands isalways working on behalf of our Guests and working with other TeamMembers. To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate thefollowing: - Experience as General Manager or Director ofOperations within a similar quality hotel. - Degree or diploma inHotel Management or equivalent. - Strong commercial acumen, withexperience in increasing profitability. - Experience managingbudgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in asimilar-sized property. - Excellent leadership skills. -Exceptional communication skills. - In-depth knowledge of thehotel/leisure/service sector.
