We are looking for a Software Engineer to work on both legacy and new software projects. The Engineer will be responsible for helping the legacy system through upgrades, maintenance, and new feature development based on business needs. Additionally, the engineer will assist in building new microservices to facilitate the future deprecation of the legacy system. The new development will include cloud-native development in Golang, configuration, and management of deployments via CI/CD pipelines. The work will involve building APIs and services collaboratively with other teams. What You’ll Do Design, build, review, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in Golang. Integrate data storage solutions, including databases, key-value stores, and blob stores. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to resolve them. Maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Create and maintain new microservices. Develop and maintain configuration files for deployment into infrastructure. Operate within a Scrum team, contributing to Agile ceremonies and practices. Who You Are 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, building applications using Golang (experience with .NET or Java is a big plus). Strong understanding of unit testing. Experience working within a microservices architecture. Understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications. Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and Postgres. Experience building RESTful APIs. Experience with continuous integration tools such as CircleCI, GitHub, etc. Willingness to learn and contribute to automation test suites. Plus Experience with .NET or Java. Experience deploying containers to Kubernetes. Understanding of containerizing applications with Docker. Knowledge of event streaming platforms like Kafka is a plus. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming. Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and Humio.
