As our SCADA Project Engineer , you’ll architect, configure, and commission AVEVA System Platform from design review through turnover, partnering daily with Thermo PMs, field teams, the GC, and Meta’s owner-rep organization. Key Responsibilities: Technical Execution: Design & Submittals Review I/O schedules, network topologies, and P&IDs for SCADA compatibility; generate RFIs and change-order scope. Platform Configuration Build AVEVA System Platform objects, historian tags, alarming, redundancy, and OMI visualization; script PLC/HMI data exchange (Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet IP, OPC UA, MQTT). Network & Cybersecurity Coordinate VLAN design, firewall rules, and IEC 62443 hardening with IT/OT teams. Testing & Commissioning Plan and lead FAT/SAT, point-to-point, functional, and integrated tests; own punch-list closure and turnover packages. Documentation & Training Deliver SOPs, O&M manuals, and on-site training for customer operators. Project & Team: Act as primary SCADA technical contact for the client and subcontractors. Serve as the technical escalation point for the project team, partnering with the Project Engineer to swiftly diagnose SCADA and controls issues, develop data-driven solutions, and drive corrective actions that protect schedule, budget, and system reliability. Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to Thermo’s Quality Management System. Identify add-scope opportunities and support change-order pricing. Required Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent field experience). 4+ years delivering industrial SCADA systems, 2+ years as lead on AVEVA System Platform projects. Proven commissioning experience on mission-critical, pharma, or large industrial facilities. Proficiency with PLC platforms (Schneider, Rockwell, or Siemens) and industrial networking. Strong communicator who thrives in fast-paced, team-first environments. Preferred Extras: AVEVA Certified System Platform Developer or similar credential. Experience with AVEVA PI System, Insight, or Predictive Analytics. Familiarity with BIM coordination, digital twins, and data-center MOP/SOP processes. Full-time, on-site at BDW (˜ 90 % presence; = 10 % travel to vendor FATs & sister sites). Work Authorization/Other Requirements: Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required. Maintain a valid drivers license.
