The Opportunity Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Global Sales Director for our Hyatt Sales Force Americas team. This role focuses on growth and business development within our Luxury account portfolio and supports our Luxury brand portfolio. The Global Sales Director will be responsible for geographic luxury market strategy, stakeholder communication, market trend analysis, and driving market share and revenue growth across our luxury hotels. Collaboration with regional leadership and leading growth initiatives, including new hotels and business development, are key aspects of this role. The Role The primary responsibility is developing strategic account plans to generate new revenue within our Luxury Accounts in the luxury and lifestyle segment. Responsibilities include managing global accounts, uncovering new business opportunities, and supporting Hyatt’s luxury portfolio and new openings in Latin America. You will focus on accounts with travel agencies, lifestyle concierge organizations, private clubs, and private aviation, managing both group and transient travel, fostering long-term relationships, and increasing market share. Create and maintain strategic account plans with targets, engagement strategies, and reviews. Support hotel premium sales and market positioning aligned with priorities and budgets. Collaborate with Hyatt Sales Force colleagues to expand key accounts. Pre-qualify and target luxury accounts using analytics and prospecting strategies. Manage customer engagement, including events, calls, and webinars. Ensure contracts follow policies and reflect sound commercial judgment. Stay informed on market developments and customer trends. Assist hotels with customer engagement and familiarization trips. Conduct product presentations and prepare activity reports. Travel as needed for entertainment, sales missions, and industry events. Demonstrate strong organizational, follow-up, and leadership skills. Work independently in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills. Experience Required Fluent in Spanish and English Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality management At least 5 years of experience in global and/or luxury sales Experience with Luxury, Leisure, Lifestyle, Group, and Transient segments Proven success in achieving sales targets and growing market share in the luxury segment Excellent negotiation and presentation skills Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills Ability to influence stakeholders and develop new partnerships Leadership qualities, agility, and a challenge-oriented mindset Professionalism, integrity, and ethics Passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, curiosity, and organizational connection Preferred Experience Knowledge of hotel and sales practices Leadership experience Proficiency with MS Office, Lanyon, Reserve, Opera, Oracle, and Envision The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned.
