What’sthe mission you’ll drive Strengthen our risk management frameworkto meet AML and Compliance regulatory requirements as we transitioninto a regulated financial entity. This role will support ourgrowth by improving due diligence in onboarding processes, riskassessments, and regulatory reporting, ensuring adherence toregulations while maintaining operational efficiency. The SeniorAML KYC Analyst will work closely with different teams to ensureour processes align with our risk appetite and business strategy. What you will do 1. Strengthen AML and compliance processes toimprove counterparties risk assessment and ensure regulatoryadherence. This involves: - Assist in risk profiling, KYC (KnowYour Customer) due diligence, and enhanced due diligence reviews,ensuring a thorough evaluation of customer risks and adherence toregulatory requirements. - Ensure effective PEP (Political ExposePerson), Sanctions, and adverse media screening by supportingcomprehensive reviews, enhancing screening processes, and refiningescalation protocols for timely and accurate risk assessment. 2. Maintain strong AML and Compliance practices while optimizingregulatory compliance and internal controls. This includes: -Ensure adherence to AML and Compliance policies, collaborating toimprove screening, monitoring, and risk evaluation processes. -Support regulatory audits and internal controls, preparingcompliance documentation and reports, when needed. - Contribute tothe implementation of risk-based assessments aligned with local AMLand Compliance requirements. 3. Identify ways to streamline AMLprocesses to maintain compliance and operational efficiency: -Identify opportunities to streamline KYC screening, onboarding, andmonitoring processes, recommend enhancements for betterdecision-making. - Collaborate with data teams to leverage reportsand insights that enhance KYC effectiveness. 4. FosterCross-Functional Collaboration to Embed Compliance into BusinessStrategy: - Work closely with Risk, Legal, Operations, and Productteams to ensure AML and Compliance requirements are effectivelyembedded into business processes without disrupting customerexperience. - Support the design and implementation ofcompliance-related initiatives by providing insights on regulatoryrequirements, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies. - Assist in the development and monitoring of AML and Compliancetraining programs to ensure teams across the company understandregulatory obligations and best practices. 5. Support in the Designand Development of End-to-End Operational Workflows andComprehensive AML/CFT Regulations. - Assist in the process ofdefining end-to-end operational workflows for AML/CFT-relatedprocesses. - Support the development of comprehensive AML/CFTcompliance manuals and procedures. 6. Develop and maintain SQLqueries and Python scripts in Databricks to extract, transform, andload data relevant for AML/CFT monitoring, reporting, and analysis. What we’re looking for - Educational Background - Bachelor’s degreein Law, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, IndustrialEngineering, International Relations, or a related field. - ProvenAML/KYC experience - Minimum 3+ years of experience in anti-moneylaundering (AML), compliance, or risk management within fintech,banking, or a regulated financial institution. - Strongunderstanding of local AML regulations, specifically SAGRILAFT /SARLAFT frameworks. - Due Diligence & Risk Assessments:experience conducting processes like customer and counterparty DueDiligence (DD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and adverse mediascreening for risk-based counterparty assessments. - Risk Analysis& Process Improvement - Risk Identification & Escalation:Ability to assess risk exposure, detect suspicious activity, andescalate concerns when necessary. - Process Optimization: Providerecommendations for improving AML processes, such as refiningtransaction monitoring workflows or strengthening risk assessmentmethodologies. - Data-Driven Mindset - Experience using data orreports to identify risk patterns, detect suspicious activities, orenhance compliance processes (e.g., identifying inefficiencies inKYC workflows). - Comfortable working with reporting tools,dashboards, and spreadsheets to analyze compliance metrics. -Proven ability to use data insights to: optimize risk assessmentsand decision-making, improve onboarding processes by identifyinghigh-risk customer profiles and support regulatory reporting withaccurate and data-backed insights. - Technical Understanding: goodtechnical skills (e.g., SQL) are required, as well as datainterpretation and risk modeling is essential. Collaboration &Communication; - Ability to work effectively with other teams (e.g.,Product, Engineering, Risk) to strengthen compliance controls. -Attention to detail: demonstrates precision in investigations and acommitment to delivering measurable compliance improvements.
