JOB TITLE: Tax Analyst LOCATION: Remote SCHEDULE: Full-time TYPE OF CONTRACT: Contract DESCRIPTION: At ttg we are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about tax compliance and optimization for one of our client companies. Join our team as a Tax Analyst, where you will play a key role in minimizing corporate taxes while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Tax Director and gain valuable corporate tax and accounting experience. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Administration of tax notices and correspondence from tax authorities - Assist in the preparation and submission of various state regulatory filings. Gather and analyze financial data to support regulatory filing requirements. Maintain organized records and documentation to support filings. - Assist with monthly reconciliation and analysis of sales and use tax accounts for timely filing of returns. - Support the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. - Assist in maintaining effective communication with the corporate counterparts. - Maintenance of tax filings & projects calendar - Prepare federal, state, local, and foreign tax documents by assembling and analyzing financial information; calculating taxes; completing forms using tax software. - Prepare quarterly state estimates, extension tax payments, and filings. - Maintain detailed and organized tax files, including documenting all relevant information and supporting documents for tax returns. - Support in special projects/reports as required. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, or equivalent field. - 1-3 years of experience in corporate tax and accounting. - Working understanding of state and local tax laws. - Experience with payroll tax preferred. - Proficiency in Excel and business tax software. - Strong organizational and planning skills. - Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a closely supervised environment with little latitude for independent judgment. ttg Talent Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer and recruiting agency.
