RemoteVA is seeking a Packaging/Carton Designer with hands-on experience in structural design for folding cartons (chipboard boxes). This role is ideal for individuals who excel in precision, creativity, and technical expertise in packaging design. As part of our creative team, you will be responsible for designing functional, brand-appropriate, and cost-efficient packaging that helps our clients bring their products to market safely and stylishly. Responsibilities - Design and develop folding carton structures to meet specific product dimensions and client requirements. - Create dielines and 3D prototypes using ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design. - Collaborate with clients and production teams to ensure accurate specifications and production readiness. - Recommend box styles and materials based on product protection, cost-efficiency, and branding. - Maintain organized project files and version control. - Optimize structural design for manufacturability and ease of assembly. - Stay updated with industry trends and materials. Requirements - Minimum 2 years of experience in folding carton/structural packaging design. - Proficiency in ArtiosCAD or Cimex CAD Design. - Strong understanding of packaging materials, die-cutting, gluing, and finishing processes. - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. - Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into effective packaging solutions. - Experience with various folding styles such as tuck-end, crash bottom, lock bottom, and sleeve. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
