Overview Publicis Sapient is looking for an Associate Java Microservices Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. Your Impact: - Create detailed design plans for microservices-based architecture, ensuring a seamless integration between backend services and data storage solutions. - Develop, test, and maintain robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. - Work with both SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB) to effectively manage and store data. - Leverage technologies such as Kafka to build event-driven services. - Deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on cloud platforms (Azure) - Ensure the backend code is secure, maintainable, and follows best practices within an Agile environment. - Apply your strong knowledge of Java in building and maintaining client-facing applications and portals. - Condense complex requirements into specific and measurable test objectives and perform comprehensive testing to ensure the quality and functionality of backend services. - Work with compliance frameworks like HIPAA to ensure the software meets necessary security and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Your Skills and Experience: - Minimum 3+ years of development experience with Java, with significant expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud. - Strong hands-on experience with designing and developing Microservices Architecture. - Experience in creating RESTful APIs and utilizing tools like Swagger/OpenAPI for documentation and testing. - Proficient in working with various databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos DB, NoSQL). - Familiar with development tools like Git, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven/Gradle. - Solid knowledge and exposure to cloud application development and serverless computing. - Experience with DevOps practices, including tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS. - Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, driving project deliverables in iterative sprints. - Experience using Docker and Kubernetes to deploy applications on cloud platforms.
