About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 09About the Team: The Team: As a Rating Analyst, you’ll be anindividual contributor working with Financial Institution issuers.You’ll build strong relationships with your issuers and the team.Under direct management, you’ll analyze routine and somenon-routine analytical or business problems, develop industryknowledge, and identify industry risk factors. Responsibilities andImpact: You’ll have significant exposure by partnering withinvestors and issuers, responding to questions, participating inmeetings, and conducting on-site visits with debt issuers inColombia and Panama. Internally, you’ll prepare materials for BRCRatings, a publication of S&P; Global, and participate in ad hocprojects. Responsibilities: - Analyze financial statements ofmedium-sized and/or complex entities with support from managers andsenior analysts. - Conduct surveillance of rated debt issues andissuers’ ratings; may act as primary analyst for less complexentities. - Understand rating principles, knowledge of S&PRatings; criteria, and contribute to research and development ofcriteria. - Conduct credit analysis using S&P; Global’smethodology, Excel, financial models, and financial statementanalysis. - Maintain a centralized news source, including digitalmedia, for industry monitoring and financial information analysis.- Support team in developing, maintaining, and analyzingspreadsheets and databases, including financial data extraction andmodeling. What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications: -Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or relatedfield. - Postgraduate studies in economics, business, or financialengineering are preferred. - At least 3 years of relevantexperience in market or credit risk analysis, FP&A;, accounting,investment, or related fields. - Advanced Microsoft Office skills,especially Excel. - Strong verbal and written communication skills;bilingual in English and Spanish. - Familiarity with the Colombianmarket. - Detail-oriented and organized.
