The Operations Manager I is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Operations services related to carriers, customers, and product solutions. He/She conducts sales calls, recommends carriers, develops pricing and proposals, and negotiates contracts to cultivate new business accounts. This position oversees supervisors and specialists within the department. **Responsibilities**: - Negotiates and monitors negotiations with airlines, shipping lines and carriers. - Participates in the weekly and monthly meetings of the Management Committee of GFF Andino. - Analyzes the Grate by client and provides information on the processes to the various areas of the company. - Monitors compliance with and improvement of the NPS, the OTR and other operational indicators that measure the Operations function. - It alerts Pricing and Sales when a negotiation is not executed profitably or presents threats or failures that could jeopardize profitability and good business management. - Attends to customer claims and processes the necessary information so that the Department of Claims formulate the answers of the case. - Supervises and ensures compliance with IATA regulations, as well as the annual renewal of the Certification. - Supervises, develops and controls corporate reports of the operation. - He/She is in charge of the Coordinators who supervise the Representatives and Analysts. - Represents the company before entities, unions, related to logistics in Colombia (Dian, OPAIN, IATA, etc). - Relationship with customs, pricing, sales and finance. **Requirements**: - Professional Graduated in Foreign/International Trade, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related - Fluent Spoken and Written English - Advanced Knowledge of Customs, Logistics and International Transport - Advanced Microsoft suite performance - Minimum 10 years of experience in international trade - Preferred - Dangerous Goods - Preferred **Work modality**: Supplementary Teleworking in Bogotá (Office and Home) **Employee Type**: Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
