The person responsible for this position will be required to grow the territories assigned in the Central Region of the Dx Area, being Caribbean Islands, Central America and Peru, by presenting and selling Abbott Diabetes Care product portfolio as it best fit into the market, working with the support of the distributors network that exists today, and the developed for the best of ADC business. Identify new market niches, pursue and identify licensing and co‐promotion opportunities. Secure required resources and ensure the distributors sales teams focus on appropriate priorities. Responsible for the territory profitability. Responsible for meeting sales and margin goals, customer satisfaction indexes, technical service efficiency goals, forecasting, and financial business aspects including budget. Responsible for complying through its net of distributors with all ADC OEC and QA standards and policies. **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES** - Support the Team Leader to build and present the sales and marketing plan. Adjust the potential plan to maximize the growth of products/market penetration. - Mapping of stakeholders that intervene in the development of the products in the different countries - Support and monitor the implementation of the strategies towards the different stakeholders - Execute according to plan and achieve set targets: set KPIs, priorities and measurement/performance systems, manage resources, and make adjustments. - Refocus resources/ensure achievement of operating plan. Anticipate and respond to changing market conditions. - Support distributors network to adapt its sales organization for better care of ADC business, and maximize countries coverage and distribution by developing new distributors in non‐covered areas/regions. - Build relations/company image by maintaining close contact with customers, Health care authorities, Health Care associations, government, patient groups and the community. Internally it will build effective relationship with key team members. - Hire, develop, inspire, encourage and retain talent, build diversity and succession pipeline. Mentors and lead staff development. - Ensure all company activities are conducted within the framework of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws. - Provide guidance to RA and QA ADC area teams to secure resources and dedication to the distributor network needs **BASIC SKILLS** - Solid experience in working with distributors, promoting into HCPs offices, and knowledge of pharmacy retail dynamics. - Create a sustainable culture of innovation, calculated risk-taking and high accountability. - Costumer centricity - P&L; management. - Ability to adapt to diverse cultures. - Excellent leadership and negotiation skills. - Travel 50‐75% of the time. - High Proficiency in English and Spanish. **MINIMUN EDUCATION REQUIRED** - Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or sciences. MBA preferred. **MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** - Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the Pharma or medical device industry (Preferably in the diabetes business). - Experience having managed group of sales teams. - Local market knowledge/experience would be advantageous.
