The General Accounting Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in the JNJ Finance ecosystem, leading a diverse team of analysts and leaders responsible for outstanding General accounting processes with a direct impact on JNJ financial results. As a leader, you will partner across the Finance 3-tier model, interacting with numerous teams and leaders through in-person meetings, presentations, etc., and will play an integral role in crafting Global Finance processes. Key Responsibilities Lead General Accounting team (team of managers/associates). Responsible for leading accounting and daily operations for General Accounting process area. Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with deadlines, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements. Partner with key regional and global stakeholders, including BUF, Compliance, GPO, GPE, peers from other regions, Transcend, Transact, and CFIN. Drive deep expertise, ensuring the team is fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas. Ensure adherence, monitor, remediate and align compliance responsibilities with stakeholders. Manage, mitigate, and escalate risks on a timely basis. Champion & support a continuous improvement mindset throughout the team, identifying and pursuing business and efficiency opportunities. Qualifications Requirements Education: Minimum Bachelors’ level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline. Minimum 10 years of professional experience. Experience in managing large teams (~25 and above Team size headcount). Track record of leading Continuous Improvement and/or leading organizational or process transformation. Exhibits strategic mindset. Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels. Ability to frame clear & concise communication across all relevant stakeholders. Open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies. Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
