National Legal Consultant on Child Rights for UNICEF Armenia CO UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence. About the Job The National Legal Consultant on Child Rights will work closely with the HRDO team and UNICEF Senior Legal Consultant on child rights to produce specific deliverables that contribute to the preparation of a report by the HRDO. The deliverables include supporting the interview process and drafting respective sections of an ad-hoc report outlining the human rights situation of displaced children and providing recommendations for improvement. Key Responsibilities - Undertake legal analysis and write reports on public international law or international human rights law. - Provide legal advice and conduct needs assessments, reviews, and make recommendations. - Travel to all marzes at least once and visit different teams to coordinate closely. - Familiarize yourself with our competency framework and its different levels. Requirements - Masters in Public International Law, (International) Human Rights Law, (International) Children's Rights, (International) Refugee Law, or other relevant fields. - At least 4 years of experience in public international law or international human rights law. - Good knowledge and understanding of established international standards in the field of child rights. - Demonstrated experience in undertaking legal analysis, writing reports, and providing legal advice.
