Job Description We are seeking a Collections Analyst to join our Finance team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of a traditional collection professional. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of accounts receivable and collections processes but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks. Job Responsibilities Effectively collecting past due bill review portal AR by using a variety of collection methods and techniques. Focusing on root causes of non-payment while bringing past due accounts to a current status. Continually analyze assigned bill review portal program(s) and take appropriate action on transactions. Process assigned bill review portal program(s) appeals, based on deductions, in an accurate and timely manner to avoid missing appeal deadlines. Create and monitor work tracking spreadsheets and advise AR management of any potential challenges. Collaborate with project managers to secure the required documentation when needed for processing appeals. Follow up on LegalX payment recommendation not received within 30 days. Advise management team of high-risk situations. Effectively identify unappealable balances and process for write-off approval and submission in an accurate and timely manner. Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of collections experience with a track record of meeting KPI’s. Must be detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as part of a collections team. Critical Thinking: The candidate must be able to think clearly and rationally, understanding the logical connection between ideas. This includes analyzing and solving problems by deducing consequences from known information. Accurate and detailed account reconciliation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact with customers and internal stakeholders effectively. Must be self-driven with a strong work ethic and be able to work independently. Must take ownership of assigned portfolio and take the initiative to resolve problems in order to collect open AR effectively. Must be able to embrace the tools and training offered and abide by departmental processes and guidelines. Experience with ERP technology, preferably Microsoft D365. Intermediate experience in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (pivots and lookups). This position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in using various office software like Microsoft Excel and Word. It’s a role that demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle potentially stressful interactions with professionalism and tact. Preferred Qualifications Experience with collections in the risk insurance industry. Experience with bill review portals. LegalX and TyMetrix 360 highly preferred.
