**Data Center Shared Services (DCSS) Application Specialist**: Bogota - Colombia **About the DCSS Specialist Role** The DCSS Specialist who will be a part of the Hybrid Hosting Operations (HHO) team will work with other DCSS members from Houston and Pune. Also, he/she will work with Sustaining Business Domains, L3 groups and hosting vendors. He/she will be responsible for all aspects of administration, monitoring and support for 3rd party purchased and in-house developed software. The DCSS Specialist will assist the users in the normal operations and the resolution of day-to-day incidents. **Qualifications and Requirements** **Essential Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. - 7+ years working in IT enterprises in IT service management. - 7+ years of experience administrating Windows and Linux environments. - 7+ years working on databases: Monitor, performance tuning, patching/hardening, change execution, and troubleshooting.**Key Competencies** - Installing, configuring, and administrating Windows Server 2008 to 2016. - Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2016 databases. - Experience working with Citrix and VDI technologies. - Exposure to Cloud Computing. - High-Availability clusters background: Design and administering. - IT Application architecture and design methodologies across multiple platforms. - Scripting skills in PowerShell /Bash. - Strong knowledge on troubleshooting skills of Linux/UNIX. - Experience working with Oracle databases. - Experience working/administering WebSphere (desirable) - Good understanding of IT Security. - Vendor management experience. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment (desirable). - Exposure to monitoring, orchestration, automation, and provisioning tools (desirable) **Other Skills and Abilities** - Ability to work in a globally distributed setting without supervision. - Self-driven and proactive. - Open to travel abroad. - Comfortable working across time-zones (open to shifts) and people of different nationalities. - Excellent communication skills. - Works well with all personality types.
