Job Description As an Enrollment Specialist TPA, you will manage and audit benefit plan enrollments, process changes and terminations, ensure data accuracy, and support compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulations. Youll collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and keep records precise across multiple systems. Job Overview Employment type: Indefinite-term contract Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM CST Work setup: Work from home / Remote Your Daily Tasks Maintain up-to-date records in enrollment systems/databases Process/audit new enrollments, changes, and terminations for participants across multiple benefit plans administered by the TPA Ensure timely and accurate data entry in claim administration system Review eligibility files and reconcile enrollment data against the claim system and payroll files Communicate with account management to clarify discrepancies and provide guidance on enrollment procedures Coordinate with the internal operations team when there are data feed issues or errors Monitor enrollment deadlines and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA) Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all enrollment activity Generate reports and assist with audits and reconciliations as requested Process COBRA notices, elections, terminations, and premium payments in compliance with federal COBRA regulations Handle sensitive personal information in a confidential and secure manner, following HIPAA privacy and security rules Requirements The Qualifications We Seek Associate or bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Minimum of 13 years of experience in COBRA administration, HIPAA compliance, or group benefits within a third-party administrator (TPA), carrier, or HR department Familiarity with group health and welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail Understanding of HIPAA, ERISA, and ACA compliance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and experience using claim administration systems Plus: Knowledge of enrollment procedures and policies within a third-party administrator (TPA) Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA) Familiarity with EDI file processing and carrier billing Benefits Exciting Perks Await! 5 days work week Indefinite term type contract Work from home arrangement 20 vacation days in total (5 extra leaves convertible to cash) Prepaid medicine Fully-customized Emapta laptop and peripherals Direct exposure to our clients Career growth opportunities Diverse and supportive work environment Prime Office Locations - Bogot and Medellin Unlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy courses (Want to know more?
