Job Title: Paralegal with Immigration Law Experience Position Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal specializing in immigration law to join our team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and liaising with clients to ensure the efficient and accurate management of immigration cases. This is a remote, full-time position with flexibility for urgent matters. Working hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday. 1 hour for lunch breaks paid. Some flexibility may be required for urgent cases. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of asylum, residency, work permit applications, and other immigration-related filings. Draft legal documents, motions, letters, and required forms. Review legal documentation to ensure compliance with immigration authorities’ requirements. Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to gather necessary information and documentation. Conduct research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedural requirements. Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring they are updated and accessible. Monitor legal deadlines for case filings and coordinate reminders with clients and attorneys. Assist in preparing materials for meetings, hearings, and interviews related to immigration cases. Provide basic case-related information to clients and escalate complex issues to attorneys as needed. Update and manage case records in the case management system. Requirements: Certification as a Paralegal in Immigration or a law degree with at least 1 year of experience, preferably in immigration law or related services. Minimum of 1 year of legal experience, preferably in immigration law or related services. Mandatory Qualifications: Basic understanding of immigration laws and procedures. Strong organizational and document management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing legal documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and case management software. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Preferred Skills: Experience with tools like Docketwise, DocuSign, LawPay, and Google Workspace. Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills. Proactivity and problem-solving abilities. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Language Requirements: English: C1 (Advanced) or higher. Spanish: Fluent (Bilingual proficiency). Compensation: Salary paid in USD or Local Currency according to your preference.
