Description SENIOR DIRECTOR OF STRENGTHENING STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is a firm that integrates proprietary products and engineering services to create unique construction solutions across the commercial and public end-user markets. We partner with general contractors and engineers across North America to develop solutions for building and infrastructure projects through structural strengthening. We are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development for the Central Region, passionate about business development, sales leadership, and experienced in working with contractors and engineers in the commercial/public markets. Candidates should have expertise in structural strengthening solutions and business leadership. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams and contractors to develop and sell tailored solutions to meet customer needs. This highly collaborative role includes working with business developers across the Central Region to deepen existing client relationships and establish new ones. The position is ideally based in the Midwest, but we are open to candidates nationwide. Joining us, you will develop and implement strategies to showcase our capabilities, develop projects, and expand our strengthening business. STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES offers solutions including FRP composites, section enlargement, post-tensioning repairs/strengthening, and shotcrete. We support engineers with condition assessment, options analysis, solution development, and construction implementation, helping clients solve complex challenges in repair, maintenance, and renewal projects. Minimum requirements include: * 15+ years of experience in building relationships and expanding client bases in the commercial/public market, preferably selling specialty construction services or products to general contractors. * Proven success in a business development or client services leadership role. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, for managing account and pursuit activities. * Successful track record in sales leadership and exceeding sales goals/quotas using CRM systems. * Ability to lead sales efforts on high-value projects. * Knowledge of commercial/public projects and how to position technology-driven solutions. * A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Duties include: * Implementing and tracking progress of business plans in the commercial/public markets. * Developing and maintaining relationships within these markets across North America. * Following up on project opportunities and client leads from marketing efforts. * Participating in project review calls and maintaining CRM listings for strengthening projects. * Updating contact databases with new contacts from presentations, meetings, and conferences. * Proactively expanding company relationships and client base. * Identifying and pursuing project opportunities to meet sales targets. * Collaborating with internal teams to develop and sell solutions. * Working with leadership to develop strategies for expanding strengthening business. * Participating in client meetings, workshops, trade shows, and other BD activities. * Supporting sales presentations, proposal drafts, bid package assembly, and site visits as needed. * The ideal candidate is innovative, decisive, collaborative, goal-oriented, approachable, empathetic, and capable of building trust and maintaining relationships.
