This is a busy, team-oriented shop that emphasizes customer satisfaction in our region. The service department is critical to maintaining equipment for both rental and sales staff. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose and repair defective small engines on rental equipment - Diagnose and service QA rental equipment - Diagnose and repair customer tools - Perform preventative maintenance on fleet and customer equipment - Maintain small engine related equipment - Loading and unloading customer rental equipment requires explaining operation instructions as needed - Maintain a clean yard environment - Perform other duties as assigned Key Qualifications: - Adhere to safe work practices and environmentally sound behaviors - Experience with 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines (Honda, Stihl, Wacker) and construction heaters - Stihl tool experience is an asset - Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and parts required for maintenance and repair - Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience - Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills - Flexibility with on-call schedules and willingness to meet business demands - A customer-centric attitude with good communication skills - A valid G-class driver's license and clean driver's abstract is mandatory Additional Qualifications: - Prioritized consideration given to licensed small engine technicians - The ability to perform heavy lifting is required frequently - Own tools are necessary for the position
