Job Title: Finance Director for EU Region Location: Spain (Remote, with occasional travel) About Our Client Our client is a leading global company in the automotive industry, operating in over 40 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead financial operations across the European region. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial leadership experience from large multinational or automotive-related companies. Key Responsibilities - Lead and oversee all finance functions in the EU region, including accounting, reporting, planning, forecasting, tax, treasury, and compliance. - Develop and implement regional financial strategies aligned with global objectives. - Partner with regional business leaders to support strategic decisions, commercial initiatives, and performance optimization. - Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and local regulations. - Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accountability and alignment with company goals. - Oversee internal controls, audit processes, and risk management initiatives. - Lead and mentor the regional finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. - Act as a key liaison with corporate finance and global HQ on regional performance and planning. Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sectors. - Strong knowledge of European financial regulations, tax systems, and compliance frameworks. - Proven track record in regional or multi-country financial management, ideally in a multinational environment. - Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced financial tools. - Strategic mindset with hands-on capability and strong business acumen. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Fluent in English; Spanish or other European languages are a plus. - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications preferred.
