**Job Purpose**: The Credit Portfolio Sr Group Manager is a senior-level position responsible for leading activities including credit review, credit approvals and monitoring of the portfolio to take preventive measures for protection and correct classification in coordination with the Risk Management team and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards. The overall objective of this role is to manage Citi's portfolio exposure to client and counterparties globally. **Job complexity**: - ** Objectivity and analytical capacity ("Sound Judgment")**:Having strong analytical skills and support of specific risks that lead to decisions and identifying opportunities. - ** Ability to Persuasion**: Maintain a smooth and clear communication with the various stakeholders (business areas and product, plus support areas) on specific risks, including adequate persuasion and convincing power in the decision-making process. - ** Organization of work**: Organize according to their importance daily tasks in order to give priority to those which require maintaining a balance between quality and efficiency. **Responsibilities**: - Be the Risk Management Country Officer (RMCO) for Colombia and Institutional Clients Group ("ICG") - Credit Risk Head for Colombia and Ecuador. As a second line of defense, exercise the roles of review and challenge, thoroughly and consistently. - Have a thorough knowledge of the wholesale credit policies and processes, ensure compliance and that approved credit facilities are within risk appetite. - Monitor and control exposures assuring they are within limits, regulation is complied and internal policies are followed. - Review and challenge credit analysis, risk ratings, classifications, early problem recognition and remedial management. - Proactive risk management of existing and emerging risks (e.g. geopolitical, environmental, technology, cybersecurity). - Review credit portfolio reports alerting local and regional trends and recommending changes in strategy as appropriate. - Review and challenge stress tests and rapid portfolio reviews as appropriate. - Proactively attend senior local and regional risk committees as required by the position. - Collaborate in the preparation and presentation of franchise strategy documents as appropriate. - Ensure corrective action plans as requested by regulators, credit review or internal audits are executed as required. - Ensure credit and banking teams have proper credit experience and training. - Review that the team´s career and succession plans are in place and take the necessary actions to retain talented staff. **Qualifications and Skills**: - 15+ years of relevant credit experience - Senior credit officer or equivalent on wholesale banking - Sound knowledge on corporate finance and credit analysis.
